VEDA: Growing Alongside the Entrepreneurial Community

VEDA is among the companies supporting BESCO Hall of Fame 2026. Its story began 15 years ago as a boutique accounting practice. Today the company brings together experts in accounting, law, finance and operations management, united by a shared mission to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their companies' development. Over the years, VEDA has grown alongside the Bulgarian entrepreneurial community and remains committed to its development.

Past

Fifteen years ago, Danail Koev and Velislava Yordanova founded VEDA as an accounting company. Their clients included Bulgarian tech entrepreneurs who were taking the first steps in building their businesses. Working with them gave the team an insider's view of the challenges of growth, from getting the accounting and finances in order to entering new markets and attracting investment.

Over time, it became clear that these companies needed support in other areas too. This is how the idea for VEDA Accounting UK was born, serving entrepreneurs who operate in the United Kingdom. It was followed by VEDA Legal, a boutique law firm focused on tech businesses.

The next stage in the group's development brought VEDA Finance and VEDA Works. VEDA Finance helps companies with financial planning, reporting and fractional CFO support. VEDA Works grew naturally out of VEDA's work with the operations agency Hireworks, which Boyan Stoyanov launched while living in Southeast Asia and continued to build after returning to Bulgaria.

Behind every new practice stands the trust of clients who started working with VEDA in its early years. The team also values the communities and organizations they have met, worked with and grown alongside over this time.

Present

Today, these teams make up the VEDA family. They come from different professional backgrounds but share an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to understand their clients' businesses as a whole. When a question touches accounting, finance and law at once, VEDA's specialists work together to find a solution that takes all of these aspects into account.

This collaboration starts with the people who built the VEDA family. In the words of VEDA's other partners, "Danail is the visionary who drew us to the idea, to working with the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to the opportunity to contribute to its development." Each partner brings different experience, but they share the desire to be truly useful to companies at every stage of their growth.

For VEDA, belonging to the entrepreneurial community extends beyond client work. The team takes part in initiatives such as Dare2Scale, a program organized by Endeavor, and The Bridger Network. It supports non-governmental organizations with accounting, legal and financial expertise, and works with organizations that promote business development in Bulgaria. In BESCO's early days, VEDA was one of the companies that lent the association a helping hand.

"This community matters not only to us but to our whole society. We believe its development is important for Bulgaria's future, and that is why we have made it our core priority to support it, invest in it and help it grow stronger," says Danail Koev. This commitment is behind VEDA's decision to give its time and knowledge to the community, and its determination to stand by entrepreneurs when they make important business decisions.

Future

Over the years, VEDA has added new practices and welcomed new people to the team. With this growth came the question of how to preserve its way of working: its closeness to clients, the collaboration between specialists and its readiness to help wherever its experience can be useful.

That is why, for VEDA, the future is tied both to the development of its own teams and to the development of the environment in which its clients operate. The path from a boutique accounting company to today's family of practices runs through relationships with entrepreneurs, colleagues and organizations, built over many years.

VEDA continues to grow alongside this community and to look for ways to contribute to it.
